Neighborhood Watch

The Lady hasn’t been seen in some time. Maybe she settled down for a little bit. Maybe it’s too hot for her to walk around. Maybe she’s in a new neighborhood.

We get home one day and the neighbor next to us greets us and we engage in conversation. She’s giving us all the details of what she and her husband have been seeing on the block for the last couple of weeks. She vents about the prostitutes, family issues, and people in the neighborhood.

She shares with us that The Lady was arrested and has been in jail the last couple of weeks. She gets out today. That’s why we haven’t seen her.

I wonder how long until she gets back on her grind.
