Let’s go!
We hop in the car to go somewhere - focused. I see the lady (the one that I saw make those transactions from our first Daily Dose) scooting down the sidewalk with her walker, approaching our house. I said “don’t,” then down goes the window.
“Excuse me, do you have some change to spare so I can go to the store and get me some chips?”
We scrounge up the change from the cupholder and hand it to the lady. She is thankful and scoots away.
A couple of days go by and our neighbor from across the street pays us a visit. He strongly advises us to not speak to the lady anymore and not to give her anything. He said that she would hound us to death, that she only takes money for drugs, she sells her food stamps for drugs, and beats on her husband (the man in the wheelchair from our last Daily Dose).
Duly noted.
