Money Mumbles: If I knew then

I had it all together at one point. Safe and secure - life planned within a budget and no intentions of taking risks. I saved what I could and held on to my spending money. My car was paid off, my portion of rent and utilities were manageable.

I let the ideas of others drain what I had down to half. I could have had more had I known then what I know now. An old saying that will stay relevant as long as humans live young, reckless, and fearful.

I went to school for business and finance and learned nothing. I was not interested at the time. Ask what I’m learning about 15 years later - investing. I was so afraid of my youth and money being taken advantage of, afraid of taking a calculated financial risk. I could have been in a completely different place financially had I known then what I know now.

I would have purchased and traded stocks and currencies, and probably be on track to retire within the next 10 years. But that is what I’m doing now. I am learning some ropes of the stock market. I am learning about ForEx trading. It’s too late for my to catch the Bitcoin train, but I’ve still got goals.

I never imagined being so pressed. But pressure results in diamonds. I am on a path to diamonds of freedom.
